Why do we praise God? Is it because He created the Earth and everything in it? Is it because He made us in His image? Is it because He protected us from that accident? Is it because He healed us from that disease? Is it because He gave us children?

Yes, but it’s so much more.

God is. That’s enough reason to praise Him.
He is omnipresent: always there.
He is omniscient: all knowing.
He is omnipotent: all powerful.
He is.
He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Reason to praise.

Add to that the fact that He does such wonderful and amazing things. I mean, when is the last time you placed your hand on a planet and carved out an ocean that would only exist between this border and that? When was it that you made a moose with those antlers so different? And was it you who thought up a duck-billed platypus?

It was no human who thought up the plan for God to come to walk a sinless life on earth in human form, die on the cross to remove humans’ sin, die, then be raised from death to take humans to live with Him in Heaven. That’s a ludicrous plan!

That’s a marvelous thing that God planned before He set up the foundations of the world, and then He accomplished.

Oh Friend, join me today in praise of the One True and Living God, Elohim, Adonai, Jehovah. Praise the Creator, Sustainer, Provider, Comforter, and Savior. Look around you and see all He has made, including that one in the mirror, and praise Him for that. Wonderful things!

God lives in the praise of His people, so let’s do this often. Bring Him into every situation of your life even before it happens, through our praise of the Lord of lords.
