Did you know that God longs to be reconciled to you? He wants to transfer your wicked (against God) ways for His righteousness through Christ. He wants the sin we were born into to be washed away by His blood on the cross.
The thing is, He won’t force it.
He just won’t.
This is a decision required of every human. Choose God or choose self. It can’t be both.
Isaiah tells us from centuries past to seek God while we can find Him. There will come a time when we won’t be able to find him and salvation will be lost forever. Whether that’s at death or a time before, I can’t say. But it makes so much sense to me to do as Isaiah said and do it now.
The next verse tells those who are living outside God’s will to make the changes necessary to move into His will. Sadly, Jesus tells us that many will choose to not surrender to God and few will (Matthew 7:13-14). If you haven’t decided to choose God over self, I urge you, don’t wait. You don’t know when the last moment to do so will slip by.
Believers, we’re not immune from these words just because we’ve chosen God. It is now our mission, given by Jesus Himself, to tell everyone about this message. We begin to do so by living according to the Book. When we obey Jesus, we reveal our love for Him. When we love our spiritual siblings, we reveal to others that we belong to Christ.
Where do you need to start? Let’s don’t wait. Let’s make those efforts today.
