Have you ever looked at the magnificence of creation and felt small and insignificant?
King David, the psalmist did. I’m sure living as a shepherd he saw the moon and stars in their places night after night. He knew how God had placed each one where He wanted and how He continually steers them.
Can’t you just see David, leaned back against a rock, listening to the night sounds as he ponders what he sees and what he knows about God?
It seems the thought amazed him, as it often does me, that the God who created such ordered beauty and function also considers us – people – even more highly.
More?
Yes.
Oh, friend! God did not make a plan for the mountains or trees or seas to be made right with Him. They have no free will to choose. We do.
One day, according to scripture, all that we see as creation will be wiped out and replaced with even better. Even better. But we, these souls with free will who choose Him, will still be here and see this new and even more incredible creation.
All because
He regards us
more than creation.
You. He not only considers you, He cares for you. More than the moon and stars that He carefully created and placed in orbit. More than the mountains rising to the sky. More than the sea stretching from land to land. More than the ground or sky or any creature.
You, my friend, are His most prized creation, so much so that He made a way for you to be with Him forever.
Rejoice in this truth and share it! Almighty God thinks about you and cares for you. Don’t keep it a secret. Pass it on!
