Worship is necessary. And beneficial.

This morning our nephew Doug Bryant shared his heart quite transparently. His words are so beautiful and poignant and fit so well with Psalms 100:2. I’ll link to it at the end.

We are all created to worship. Yes, even you who says you can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Worship is more than music! Besides, have you heard Jewish cantors or Gregorian monks? Their songs are not melodic, they are simple praise to the One they adore.

God is not bothered by your tone-deaf singing, He wants to hear your praise. If you simply speak the words, it’s all good, just get them outside your heart and brain!

See, there is incredible power in your praises of God Almighty. The Lord Himself inhabits the praise of His people. Believer! When you need Him most, PRAISE HIM!

Praising God also puts the enemy of your soul on notice that the Lord is coming into the situation. With God present, the enemy is thwarted. Praise!

Whatever overwhelm you’re feeling right this moment, take a breath, open your mouth and praise God. Let ‘er rip, y’all! You’re not auditioning for American Idol, you’re praising the One True and Living God, the Creator of everything who loves you enough to die for you.

Coffee, Bible, Journal.
