Why were you born?

Why was I born? Why am I here?

Questions we all ask at some point. When we don’t know our why, we tend to wander from cause to cause, task to task, relationship to relationship, never satisfied, always doing what needs to be done, but never truly knowing fulfillment.

Knowing your God-given purpose can lift you from the deepest depression and block your anxiety. Understanding the direction your life is supposed to take gives you a roadmap for next steps and those after.

Imagine waking up every day excited to live another day. To-your-core excited. That would be cool, huh? It’s possible, but you’ll have to work on it.

To get you started, I invite you to do some daydreaming. Think back to your childhood. What was it you wanted to be or do when you grew up? Dig into that.

I wanted to be a nurse, but learned that nursing was not for me. When I dug deeper, I realized I wanted to help heal people’s wounds. I learned from my own wound-healing that God designed me to see those heart-wounds and to be able to speak life into them. He took me through my own healing of multiple traumas to be able to share how to live for the first time.

Now I know that MY purpose in life is to help others build lives worth living and legacies worth leaving.

You can know your purpose, too. But I warn you, it’s going to take work. It’s going to take time, and it will likely mean you have to drop some of what you’re currently doing so you can begin doing what you were designed for.

Some people aren’t prepared for that last part. You are. You’re ready. Let’s do it!
