Whatcha doin’? Are you ready?

What are you doing right this minute? Are you ready for Jesus to return?

We’re to be ready every moment for the return of the Savior. Does that mean we’re supposed to keep an eye to the sky?

Paul warned the Thessalonians about that. They were looking to His coming and neglecting things that should have been done.

I think Jesus’ words are deeper. We’re to be working on our relationship with Jesus every day, keeping our focus on Him, allowing that focus on Him to lead us through every activity, every thought, and every relationship.

When we immerse ourselves in His Word and trust Him with every moment of our lives, we are ready for His return—whether we’re having a deep conversation about the Bible or jogging, cooking supper, or watching television.

The thing to remember is,
He IS coming again,
whether we’re actively seeking Him
or living as though
He doesn’t care what we do.

It’s time to decide if we want Him to come back while we’re doing what we’re doing and make changes as needed.

Coffee, Bible, Journal.
