Have you thought about your construction? All the parts that make up you? Those tiny little hairs in your ears that allow you to hear, the little sensors throughout your skin that allow you to feel heat, cold, and the touch of another? Have you ever wondered what the isles of Langerhans inside you do? Have you considered that the DNA inside you all stretched out would make 530 round trips to the sun?
You are an awesome being, designed and constructed by the awesome and wonderful Creator God. Every cell with a purpose and a plan.
I spent a lot of years thinking God had made a mess of things with me. I was short, I was ugly, I didn’t fit in. Later, I had cancer, I had other issues. I didn’t feel so fearfully and wonderfully made.
Yet, the Book says I was. How do you reconcile that?
You don’t.
There is no reconciling truth with lie.
You ARE fearfully and wonderfully made by the fearful and wonderful True and Living God. There is no other, and what He says is truth. Always truth. Anything that speaks against that is a lie.
Go look in the mirror. Look at that person and see the eyes. Notice the brows, the nose, the lips. Now speak the truth of these verses aloud to that person with meaning. Consider all that is your body, the things going on that keep your heart beating and your lungs operational. Even if you’re sick, the wonder of your body is amazing.
But if we don’t acknowledge that, if we say God did it wrong… we’re believing a lie that is absolutely anti-God.
Today is the day to remind yourself of the beauty and wonder with which you were created. If God says you’re amazing, just agree with Him and live in that truth. Not with arrogance, but wonder.
Stop trying to compare yourself with anyone else and be who God made you to be.
Coffee, Bible, Journal.
P.S. Say the truth to the person in the mirror every day until that person remembers it when they walk away from the mirror.
