Don’t prevent the change in you or others

Let the words spoken by and about Christ live in abundance in your innermost being as you teach and hold accountable other believers in your life. Join with them in songs, scripture, and corporate worship holding God’s grace paramount in your heart. -Faye’s paraphrase-

Far too often we read the Bible and what we read goes in and out in moments, never effecting change in us. We have to be intentional about stopping that cycle.

We need to absorb all the words of Jesus, and those about Him, into every cell of our being. We need to let them change our lives from the inside out.

As we do that, we need to be helping our fellow believers by being accountable to them and holding them accountable, too. Never with condemnation, always with the heart to see them succeed in their faith walk. We must teach and lead one another to walk closely with the Savior.

And yes, we’re to sing with them, read scripture with them, worship with them. Together. That means at the church building, but other places as well.

Do you see how this verse starts? LET. As in, don’t prevent. Allow all this to happen in your life without preventing any of it.

Which of these things do you find difficult to let happen? Something to think about. Something to turn over to the Lord. Something to work on.

Coffee, Bible, Journal.
