Step onto your God-path and walk. Finish the work assigned you by the Father.

We all want our lives to count for something, right? At the end of our lives, we want to know that we made a difference. We all want to have impact and influence. Paul did, too, and here we see that he had determined what that would look like.

Many of us are wandering and wondering. We wonder what we’re supposed to be doing to make an impact and we’re wandering from the path designed for our influence.

Here’s the truth: God made you distinctly you. No one else has your DNA. No one else has your smile, your mind, or your life experiences, definitely not that combination.

Before time began, God knew exactly who you would be in this moment. How you would walk, talk, act, and feel. And in that knowledge, He laid out a path for you.

The purpose of the path is the same for everyone, to bring Him glory and build His kingdom, but the length and direction of that path is different for each of us. For some it is quite direct. For many, there are curves and switchbacks that make it seem like we’re off-roading.

Our job is to stay on the path and follow it by following Jesus until we are finished.

Note that Paul didn’t say HE was worthless. He didn’t deem his journey a bust because he wasn’t where he had expected to be. Nope. He kept on doing what he was called to. Paul believed that his life had the most meaning and value when he was doing what God had designed him for.

No matter where you are in life, you can learn where your path is, get on it, then follow it. Whether you’re 16 or 60, you can have incredible impact and influence in this world. It simply requires knowing God and following His plan.

Oh wait. You’re not feeling it, this desire to make a difference in the world? That’s okay. God’s got that covered, too, believer. Lean on Him right now. Whisper that you just don’t have it. You’re just not interested. You’re just too tired, too hurt, too whatever. He’s not going to shove you away and tell you you’re useless.

Keep letting Him know how you feel and keep seeking His answers. Before long you’ll begin to sense this longing to know Him more and have a better understanding of His plan for you. And… and! You’ll have the desire to do what He has planned, along with the willpower necessary to do it.

What would happen if every believer stepped onto their path and moved along it, determined to finish the work assigned them by the Father? What would happen if you did that?

Are you ready? Let’s do it!

Coffee, Bible, Journal.
