Your addiction didn’t disqualify you.
Your straying didn’t disqualify you
Delayed perhaps. Disqualified, no.
God is waiting for you to recognize that you have a purpose and get moving in that purpose.
If you have sin/wrongdoing in your life, confess it and turn away from it.
