Some days it’s hard to go on one more step. To be kind to the irascible one more time. To share one more time. It’s hard when you’re tired or struggling with your own. I hear you.

God gets that. Might be why He insists we take a sabbath break every week.

Whether or not we avail ourselves of the physical, mental, and spiritual reset a sabbath brings, we are still called to keep doing the good things, to not give up even when we don’t see immediate results.

UGH!!!

Wait though, there is a harvest coming. Not the normal harvest, a blessed one. Extra special. Extra.

I believe this harvest is disciples. Those we’re told by Jesus to go into all the world to make? Yeah, them.

When we continually do the good things – choosing to remain on that track instead of going off course and acting like those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus – people see. They notice. Even those who weren’t the recipient of our behavior.

We live in a microwave/instant pot world (love both!), but when we let the instant gratification of the appliances make us impatient with everything and everyone else, we need to make some adjustments or choose to live in continual disappointment.

The blessed harvest from our good works as believers in Christ will come. Don’t give up. Don’t throw your hands up and say you’re quitting. Your harvest may be just an hour away, just a few more steps.

Take your sabbath rest each week, allowing mind, body, and soul the downtime. Spend time together with the Almighty each day, allowing His Spirit to fill you and reign supreme in you.

Don’t give up, Believer! Your blessed harvest is coming.
