God spoke these words to Israel through Joshua as they prepared to enter their promised land. They knew there were some strong cities with fortresses defended by ruthless men that had to be conquered. Those were insanely frightening, and God knew the people would turn tail and run.

So He told them in advance that HE would personally go ahead of them. God Himself would enter each battlefield ahead of the people. All they had to do was follow and obey. Just believe in the One who sent athem and be strong and courageous because of that truth. Don’t panic, march forward.

You are entering a new day in the life of you. It is frightening. So many what-ifs. So many things that could go wrong. So many bad things that could happen. It’s nerve-wracking to just think about it.

God invites you to follow Him as He personally goes ahead of you into this day and the next and all the ones after that. He tells you not to panic, because He will not abandon you or leave you hanging. He offers His strength and courage as you face down the well-armed giants of your day.

The trick is to keep your eyes on the One who leads the way. You have a purpose and a promised land, and like Israel, all you have to do is follow Him into those places as He conquers the enemy holding your promises now.

Be strong and courageous, Believer. The battle belongs to the Lord. Show up filled up. Believe in the One who is greater than the one who is in the world. Believe God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do. Believe it as strongly and as effortlessly as you believe that chair will hold you up when you sit in it.

Whatever promised land God is leading you to right now, be strong and courageous. Don’t panic or be afraid. Trust that the Lord Himself is going ahead of you, leading the way, conquering for you. Trust that he will NEVER fail you or abandon you.
