Your FAITH reveals your OWNERSHIP

If Hebrews 11:1 seems different to you in this picture, that’s because this is the Classic Amplified Version. This version translates from the original language using the full meanings of the words instead of just trading one English word for one Greek.

Think about this. The writer was saying that our FAITH is our TITLE DEED for the things we hope for, those things we don’t see, but know we’ve been promised by the Almighty.

A title deed is a legal document that declares the person named on it is the OWNER of that particular property.

Let that sit for a minute.

You have been given amazing promises by the Creator of the universe. Your faith is your title deed to those things. Proof of your ownership of every one of them. You can’t see, touch, taste, hear, or smell them, but they are real and they are yours.

Our faith is what transforms those unseen things into reality and gives us ownership of them.

Our faith is a gift from God, it’s not natural.
We must utilize it, stretch it, exercise it to
build it into the faith that takes hold of
promises we can’t comprehend in order to believe them as truth—to hold them as real property.

Sometimes we feel as though we have no faith, no hope, no chance. God says we do and He’s right. You may have to make a choice of your will to declare your faith in who God is and what He says He will do, but when you do, you take ownership of the promises of the Creator.

Your faith may have been shaken. You thought God would do this or that or make something different happen and He didn’t.
That’s hard, I know.
That’s where faith steps in again. That’s when we say, “I do NOT understand what You’re doing God. I don’t get why You had to do it that way. I don’t understand why You let that happen.”

He’s okay with your saying those things, by the way. He’s big enough to handle your questions. He won’t slip from the throne because you ask them. Be sure you’re asking from a place of needing help, not arrogance.

Once you’ve talked with Him about not understanding, put your faith back in place, accepting that God IS who He says He is and He WILL do what He says He will do. Take ownership of the property He has promised you, even though you don’t even see the continent upon which it exists. It’s yours. Believe. Trust. March forward in the understanding of who you are in Christ.
