NOTHING is too hard for God!

The words of Jeremiah here are pretty plain. God made the heavens and earth by His strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for God.

Of course, there are other translations that say that last line differently. Some say, “Nothing is too difficult for You” while others say, “You can do anything.” The Message spells it out as, “There is nothing you can’t do.” It seems the gist of the message from God through Jeremiah is that there is nothing impossible for Almighty God. Nothing. No thing.

What that means for us is that we can rest assured that no matter what comes at us, our God is able to take care of us and the situation. Our Omnipotent God, the all-powerful God, is not fazed by anything.

God is strong enough to hold up all the planets like we hold up a dust mote. He is strong enough to hold our hands when we hurt. He is strong enough for us to lean on when we’re afraid. He is strong enough to put us on and keep us on the right path.

There is nothing anyone can do or say that will diminish God’s power even one iota. There is not a single nanosecond during which God drops His power. You cannot walk far enough to be outside His powerful reach. A lack of belief in Him doesn’t weaken Him.

Believer, you have not messed up, screwed up, gotten in a fix bad enough that God’s power is lost to you. He loves you.

The grief. The fear. The pain. The sickness. The relationships. They grip you and hold you locked into the darkness you can’t escape. The thing is, God isn’t gripped by them, and can’t be. When you’re in need of help, you can reach out to Him and experience His strength, power, and love, knowing that all that encumbers you can’t touch Him.

There’s peace in knowing that our God is all-powerful. It allows us to trust Him in all circumstances.

Nothing is too hard for God. Nothing. No thing.
