Wouldn’t it be amazing to say that you had seen Jesus with your own eyes and understood that He was sent by God to be the Savior of the world? We humans do like our visible, personally witnessed proof. What we need to remember is that while Jesus was walking the earth, no one realized He was sent by God to be the Savior of the world. Not even the disciples. Even His closest friends, the apostles, didn’t have a full grasp on who Jesus was and why He was here. It was later when that was understood.
Let’s focus a moment on purpose. Jesus’ purpose was set by God to be the Savior of the world. Being fully God, He understood that purpose from time immemorial. As He walked the earth, He was fully aware of Who He was and Why He was here.
Because Jesus knew His purpose and understood it fully,
He was able to keep going despite rejection, even that of his family.
He moved on past every obstacle,
every distraction,
every temptation
in order to fulfill that God-given purpose:
to be the Savior of the world.
You have a God-given purpose. Your Why. Your reason. Yours isn’t to be the Savior of the world. That’s already taken. But yours is important. Necessary. Needed. Wanted. An amazing, unique purpose given to an amazing and unique person whom He gifted for that specific purpose.
It’s time we learn what the Creator has for us to do during our time here on Earth. When we do, we’ll be able to keep going toward that despite rejection, even from our family. We’ll move past every obstacle, every distraction, and every temptation in order to fulfill that purpose.
In time, others will say that they saw with their own eyes and can speak the truth that you were sent by the Father to be that specifically unique person He designed you to be.
For today, let’s praise the One sent by the Father to be the Savior of the world and strive to begin living forward on purpose.
