It WILL happen.

God spoke through Isaiah thousands of years ago, telling Israel that His Word would not return void, without the results He intended for them. Back then they had the prophets like Isaiah, through whom He spoke to the people. (The Holy Spirit didn’t come to reside in everyone who believes until Jesus ascended back into Heaven.) Throughout time, those prophets and the historians had written down the events to preserve them for those who would come later. We have those words on pages in a binding that we can carry easily, or read digitally on our phones.

Our God is so powerful! And He is a planner. Things don’t sneak up on God. Yes, I know it’s hard to comprehend that He knows bout things coming down the pike and chooses to allow them to happen. It’s hard because we don’t know the fullness of His plans and we don’t understand how the circumstances can move that plan forward.

Why can’t we, you ask? Because we’re not God. And that’s okay. We’re supposed to trust Him. Trust doesn’t come in the knowing, it comes in the believing.

Just yesterday, someone questioned me about how something had been done by someone else. I answered that I knew the person who had done it and that they are very thorough and conscientious. If that person had done things that way, there was a reason and I’d trust that.

How much more so we should trust the One who spoke the universe into existence!

Let me ask you, have you ever had a moment when you were talking to someone and you felt like you were supposed to say this scripture or that? Did you speak it? That’s when we can trust that whatever God is working in that person’s life, He has applied His words to them and whatever He has planned will not fail.

Oh, but you didn’t see instant results? Yeah, we don’t get to choose God’s timeline, either. We would LOVE it if whenever we shared about Jesus, shared scripture, or prayed, that BAM! in that instant, everything would change. You know what, though? We are the same as our ancestors, and we would become so arrogant. “I prayed over this person, and they were healed! I am so good!” And don’t you know we would revel in the attention we got when people said “He/She prayed over me and I was healed! They are so good!”

We are NOT God and we’re never going to be. We don’t get to be in on all the planning, that’s been done. We aren’t apprised of the timeline and where we are on it, we couldn’t handle it. We who are believers in Jesus are His servants. We are to be ready to do what He says when He says it without question or balking. We are to just do it.

Let’s let His Word live in us and share it at every opportunity, especially when we feel that urgency to do so. Never to beat someone up, never to condemn someone; always, ALWAYS to lift Jesus high.
