Your good things are waiting, go get them!

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you have all sorts of good things that are now yours; did you know that?

The greatest of these good things is the Holy Spirit living in you. See, before Jesus’ sacrifice, the Spirit only dwelled in the Temple, that massive building in Jerusalem, and in the portable tabernacle before that.

That was glorious, I’m sure, seeing that pillar of fire at night, and the cloud by day. But what we have is even more glorious! The people had to look toward that cloud/fire to know God’s presence was there, but we know His presence anytime because He lives within us.

Why do we often not understand these good things that belong to us in our identification with Christ Jesus? Could it be that we have not taken the time to know Him? Maybe we’ve not participated in our faith, taking action toward growing it? Is it possible that we’re not sharing our faith, thereby strengthening it?

God expects us to do more than believe unto salvation. He expects us to do something with that faith. He expects that we’re going to hunger and long for more and more of Jesus, and that we’re going to want to share that love and faith with others around us.

What stops us?

Take a moment today to read the Amplied Version’s translation of this verse:‬‬ https://www.bible.com/bible/8/phm.1.6.ampc and determine that you’re going to take action on your faith. Make up your mind that you’re going to work to see your faith produce and promote full recognition, understanding, and precise knowledge of God and every good thing He gives us in Christ.

Then…. get to work.
