You will never live a moment outside God’s love for you

Do we ever really have a grasp on how deep God’s love for us goes? Do we?

I think we can begin to comprehend that His love for us was so deep that He died so we could be with Him instead of separated from Him for eternity, but to fully understand that depth, we’d have to truly consider giving up our child’s life for people we don’t know, people who want nothing to do with us. That’s big.

Today, though, we’re talking about that deep love being an abiding love, one that never changes or ends. Even when we do all sorts of things that make us unlovely and unloving. Whether we love Him in return or not, He loves us eternally.

As humans, we’re all too familiar with “love” that ceases when opinions change, when behavior is imperfect, when separation occurs. Because that’s what we’ve experienced, it’s hard for us to see God doing differently.

The fact is, though, we can’t do anything nor can anything be done to us that separates us from God’s love. Even that unforgivable sin? He still loves us, we’ve just chosen to be separated from Him forever. See, separation from Him is different than separation from His love. Any parent of a wayward child can attest to to this.

We need to wake up and walk in the truth of these words, the sure knowledge that even if every mountain is made into gravel and every desert into glass, God’s love for us will not change. That does NOT mean walk as though we can do any and everything to test His love. That’s just wrong. He’ll still love us, but there are consequences we’ll have to face. There is a better choice.

How different would your life be if you had the confidence that you will never live a single moment outside the love of Almighty God?

Today is the day to stop imagining that life and start living it.

Coffee, Bible, Journal.
