Do you feel like a failure at living a godly life?

How long have you been trying to live a holy life only to feel like a failure at it?

Peter said that God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.

Huh? Everything? But I can’t even get up and read my Bible every day! I can’t come up with the right words. I can’t…

And why are so many so-called Christians not living a godly life, hmmm?

My understanding would be because we’ve not tapped into the tools and resources given us by the Savior.

It boils down to whether or not we WANT to be obedient or whether we see this as something nearly impossible that we’re allowed to merely aspire to?

If God calls us to do something, it’s not impossible. It will require His help, but we’ll be able to do it, thus, we can live a godly life that pleases Him.

The rest of the verse? “We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.”

Every believer, every person who has experienced Christ’s salvation received everything necessary for living a godly life. Every person who has placed their faith and trust in Jesus as the risen Lord and spoken aloud of their faith has what they need.

Let’s look at our lives today. Are we living the godly life, different from those who don’t know the Lord? Are we living in obedience to God or obedience to our own desires?

Let’s make the determination today that we’re going to align ourselves with God and live accordingly, using all the tools and resources He has provided—love, power, discipline, and more. Then, let’s DO it!

Coffee, Bible, Journal.
