As I look through my window this morning, I see heavy frost on the grass and colorfully dying leaves on the mountain trees.
All that just a couple weeks ago was green and vibrant is now fading. Going away. Dying. Withering.
Everything we can see, touch, smell, taste, and hear fades away to nothingness. Death is inevitable.
But the One we cannot see, touch, smell, taste, or hear will not fade, wither, or fade away to nothingness. Death cannot touch Him.
God’s word reveals His character—who He truly is. He will not disappear, fade away, or die, nor will His word that reveals Him.
When we recognize that our Creator and Savior will never leave us or forsake us, that He has no beginning and no end, that He always loves us, always cares for us, and is always working things out for our good and His glory, we will truly experience life.
It’s time to exchange the jaded us for the joyous us and place our focus on the Living One—the Way, Truth, and Life—so that we may truly live.
